The 2022 annual American Blonde d’Aquitaine Association meeting will be held October 21-22 in Marietta, Ohio, hosted by Brad and Jane Miller of Hope Ridge Farm. They are located approximately 25 miles/ 40 minutes from the hotel. We hope the following information will be helpful as you plan your trip to join us this fall!

If you plan to fly in the nearest Airports include:
In Ohio, the Columbus and Akron-Canton airports are around 3 hours away. Cleveland, is about 3.5 hours north. In Charleston, WVa, Yeager Airport is about 2 hours and Pittsburgh International, Pittsburgh, PA is around 3.5 hours.

Reservations: A block of 15 Rooms with 2 Queen beds and 5 Rooms featuring 1 King bed has been set aside at the rate of $101 + tax (state and local 13.25%). When making a reservation be sure to specify booking in the block of rooms being held for the ABAA (Cattle) Conference Meeting. These rooms will be held at the listed cost until September 23, 2022. We encourage you to get your reservations made early!
Check in is 3 pm and checkout is 12 noon.

Group rate includes breakfast, complimentary Wi-Fi and complimentary parking.
Outdoor patio with firepit and grill, pool, hot tub and fitness center available to all guests.

Cancellation: reservations must be cancelled 48 hours prior to arrival date to avoid penalty.

Schedule: This is a tentative schedule for Friday, October 21 and Saturday, October 22. It is a work in progress and a more definite schedule will be sent closer to the date.

Friday afternoon and evening:
Meet at Hope Ridge Farm (Brad and Jane Miller’s home)*
Greet old and new members/neighboring cattle ranchers to chat/exchange stories/info
Eat – a meal will be provided following a tour of the farm.
(a brief director’s meeting will be held following the meal)

Saturday morning (9 am-12:30 pm):
The annual ABAA Membership meeting will be held at the Comfort Suites Conference room located within short walking distance of the Fairfield Inn and Suites. The business meeting, election of new board members, a presentation by a featured speaker, and the traditional gift exchange** will be part of the morning activities.

Saturday Lunch and afternoon (to be determined)

Saturday evening:
Reservations have been made for the Captain’s Dinner Cruise aboard the Valley Gem Sternwheeler on the Muskingum and Ohio Rivers. We will need to have a count by Sept. 10th of those who will be attending the cruise, so be sure to call or email us or rsvp via postal mail. Tickets are: Adult $44, Seniors $42 Children 3-12 years $34.

*Directions to Hope Ridge Farm will be available at the hotel, by text and email. GPS/internet service is spotty once you leave town.

**Traditionally, a gift exchange has been included as part of the annual meeting activities. If you would like to participate, please bring one gift per person/couple that is representative of your state/region or of the cattle/farming community.
